Description:

"Mummy, take me home," sobbed little Jasmine Dodds as she was torn from her mother’s arms. But Morag was powerless, as a Scottish court had granted custody of Jasmine to her Texan father. Following the breakup of her parents' relationship, the couple fiercely disputed their daughter’s future. In a desperate bid to keep her child, Morag fled with Jasmine, only to be dragged back in shackles and imprisoned in a grim American jail.

When Morag was eventually released and both mother and daughter were sent back to Scotland, she believed the nightmare had ended. However, it was only the beginning. Every action she took was monitored, and every mistake documented. When another legal battle ensued, Jasmine was returned to her father in the U.S., plunging Morag into deep depression and a haze of alcohol and drugs. Police cells and hospital beds became her refuge as her life spiraled out of control.

This biography chronicles the harrowing, unsettling story of a custody battle that no mother should face and no child should endure. It is a gripping tale of love, loss, and the lengths a mother will go to for her child.
